Provider data management for health plans
Provider data management, for a health plan, means keeping one accurate, effective-dated record of every practitioner, group, location, network, contract and product, and keeping credentialing, contracting, the directory and core administration in agreement with it. Gaine HDMP does this by sending each system only the change it needs, with the evidence for it.

Three places provider data breaks
Network participation by date
Was this provider in that network on the date of service? Gaine masters the practitioner, location, network and contract as separate records, each with its own dates, so every system gives the same answer.
Explore →Terminations and delegated rosters
A practitioner leaves a group in March, and your systems find out in June. Gaine reads every roster against the provider master, flags who has left, and sends each system the end date.
Explore →Directory accuracy
Your directory is only as accurate as the systems behind it. Gaine fixes provider data upstream, and every listed value can be traced to its source.

How changes reach your systems
Gaine has built direct API connectors for HealthRules Payer, Facets, QNXT, EZ-CAP and symplr. Every other system takes one of three routes:
- reconciled change files through your own change control;
- event notifications, for systems that subscribe;
- Gaine’s platform API, for applications that call it.
Each system can use a different route. Providers attest and update their information through a provider portal, and each update is reconciled with the rest of the record before it reaches the directory.

Questions
What is provider data management for a health plan?
Keeping one accurate, effective-dated record of every practitioner, group, location, network, contract and product, and keeping credentialing, contracting, the directory and core administration in agreement with it. Gaine HDMP does this by sending each system only the change it needs, with the evidence for it.
Does Gaine replace symplr or our credentialing system?
No. Credentialing stays the verified source for what it verifies. Gaine connects to symplr directly, treats its results as one source among several, and keeps them aligned with contracting, rosters, the directory and claims.
How do changes reach Facets, QNXT or HealthRules Payer?
Gaine has built direct API connectors for HealthRules Payer, Facets, QNXT and EZ-CAP. Where a plan prefers, the same change arrives as a reconciled change file for its own change control. Every change carries the source, the rule and the date behind it.
Which reference sources does Gaine check?
NPI and NPPES, CMS, state licensure boards, medical boards and the DEA. CAQH and LexisNexis are used through the plan’s own subscription.
How does Gaine help with provider-directory requirements?
The directory becomes the last step of a reconciled record, not a separate cleanup. Each listed value traces back to its source, and history shows what was listed on a given date.
Who runs it after go-live?
Your team. Stewards work the exceptions, not the routine flow. Help from Gaine or your systems integrator is available if you want it; neither is required.
